I’m happy to announce that Eric Friedman is joining our team as an executive-in-residence. He will be working with me and the team on existing projects in NYC as well as helping start up new ideas.
Eric comes to us from Foursquare where he worked in various capacities over the last five years: business development, operations, sales, revenue, and most recently as Senior Director of Sales and Revenue Operations. He’s also spent the last few years working with some incredible startups, first through Union Square Ventures, then independently: helping entrepreneurs build and scale their companies as both an angel investor and an advisor to their founders and CEOs.
We believe in the importance of a good operations team; we have a Shared Services team working on operations and, in fact, one of our four partners focuses exclusively on operations across all our companies. The behind-the-scenes roles in a company are just as important as the people working on the user-facing experiences – they are essential to starting and scaling a successful business. With Eric joining the team, we will now also be able to provide our companies with in-depth operational support. By acting as interim COO across a couple of our projects, Eric will partner with each company’s founding team to solve their most critical challenges.
We can’t wait to bring his skills into the studio to help build some incredible products and teams along with the rest of us.
